Yes, absolutely! ButtonShift offers convenient ways to create tasks for any Worklist, even if you’re not currently viewing that specific Worklist or Plan. This flexibility helps you quickly capture ideas or assign tasks no matter where you are in your workspace.

There are two primary locations from which you can create a task for a Worklist without being directly inside it:

1. From Within Any Worklist (Quick Add)

If you are already viewing any Worklist (even if it’s not the one you want the task to go into), you can use the quick-add option:

  • Click on+ Add Task“: This button is typically visible when you are viewing a Worklist.
  • A “Create Task” pop-up will appear. By default, it will pre-select the current Worklist and Plan you are in.
  • Select Desired Worklist and Plan: Within this pop-up, you can easily change the pre-selected options. Click on the Worklist field to choose the correct Worklist, and then select the appropriate Plan within that Worklist where you want your new task to reside.
  • Fill in the task details and create your task.

2. From the Workspace Home Screen

You can also create a task directly from your main ButtonShift Workspace home screen:

  • Click on+ Add New“: This button is usually prominent on your workspace dashboard.
  • From the options that appear, select “Task.”
  • A “Create Task” pop-up will appear. You will then be prompted to:
    • Select the Worklist: Choose the Worklist where you want the new task to be added.
    • Choose the Plan: After selecting the Worklist, choose the specific Plan within that Worklist for your task.
  • Proceed to fill in the task details and create it.

These options ensure that you can efficiently add tasks to the correct Worklist and Plan, enhancing your productivity and organization within ButtonShift.
