Yes, and with ease! ButtonShift allows you to define custom statuses to perfectly match your unique workflow needs.

Here’s how to create new statuses within a Plan:

  1. Switch to Kanban View: If you’re not already there, switch your Worklist’s view to Kanban. Ensure ‘Group by Status’ is enabled, this view displays your tasks organized by their current status columns.
  2. Navigate to the End of Your Workflow: Scroll to the extreme right, or the last existing status column, in your Kanban view.
  3. Click+ Add New Status“: To the right of your last Kanban column, you’ll see a column labeled “+ Add New Status.” Click on it.
  4. Choose Status Category: A prompt will appear asking you to choose the appropriate status category for your new status. Select one of the following:
    • Not Started
    • In Progress
    • Completed
  5. Name Your Status: The new column will be created, and you can then immediately rename it to whatever status name you desire (e.g., “Awaiting Client Review,” “In QA,” “Published”).

Important Notes on Custom Statuses:

  • These custom statuses are specific to the current Plan only where you create them.
  • However, when you create a new Plan within the same Worklist, the template (including your custom statuses) from the previous Plan is automatically copied. You can then further customize these copied statuses for your new Plan if needed.

That’s it! You now have custom statuses tailored to your workflow.
