You can easily move a task from one Plan to another within the same Worklist. This is particularly useful for reorganizing work, reassigning tasks to a new phase, or consolidating efforts.
To move a task, follow these steps:
- Select the Task: Navigate to the Worklist and locate the specific task you wish to move.
- Access More Options: Click on the vertical three dots (⋮) icon..
- Select “Move”: From the dropdown menu, choose the “Move” option.
- Choose Destination Plan: A list of available Plans within your current Worklist will appear. Select the Plan you wish to move the task to.
- Note: There must be at least one other open Plan in the Worklist for this action to be available.
- Select Destination Status: You will then be prompted to select a new status for the task within the destination Plan. Choose the appropriate status from the available options.
- Important: The destination Plan may or may not have the exact same statuses as the original Plan. Select the status that best reflects the task’s state in its new Plan.
- Set Destination Priority: Similarly, you will need to select a priority level for the task in its new Plan.
- Important: The destination Plan may or may not have the exact same priority levels as the original Plan. Choose the priority that fits the task’s importance in its new context.
What Happens to Task Information After Moving:
- Assigned Members: If the task was already assigned to a member within the Worklist, that assignment will remain intact in the new Plan.
- Planned Dates: Any previously set planned dates (start and end dates) for the task will also be carried over.
- Labels: All labels applied to the task will remain with it after the move.
- All Other Information: All other task details, including descriptions, comments, attached files, will remain fully intact and associated with the task in its new Plan.
This seamless process ensures continuity and integrity of your task data while providing the flexibility to reorganize your projects as needed.
