A file version is a new iteration of a previously uploaded file. When you edit a video, audio or image based on feedback, the updated file becomes a new version. This feature helps you track changes and manage your content history, ensuring that old versions are saved and accessible for reference while you and your team work on the latest file.
How to Add a New File Version
After making changes to your content as requested by an approver, you can upload the revised file as a new version. This is a crucial step that helps you keep a clear history of your work and ensures everyone is always collaborating on the latest file.
To add a new version of a file, follow these simple steps:
- Open the original file: Navigate to the desired content that has an ‘In Revision‘ status in your workspace and click on it to open it.
- Initiate the upload: In the bottom-left corner of the opened file, click on the Plus icon (+). This will open a browser window for you to select your file.
- Select the file: Browse for the revised file on your computer and either double-click on it or select it and click Open.
- Confirm the new version: The platform will now upload the new version of your file.

Once uploaded, the new content will be automatically named as v2 and will become the current version. The original file will be named as v1 and will be stored as a previous version. This iterative process continues, with each new revision automatically saved as v3, v4, v5, and so on and all the previous versions are always available for reference.
