Yes, you have the flexibility to both add and remove seats in your Team Plan. Since the Team Plan is based on subscription tiers, seat management involves specific billing adjustments.

Reducing Seats (Scaling Down)

You can reduce your member count at any time. However, the effective date for the reduction in billing depends on the type of plan you are currently on:

  • Monthly Plans: The reduction in seats and billing kicks in effective the following month.
  • Annual Plans: The reduction in seats and billing kicks in effectively your next annual billing cycle.

Adding Seats (Scaling Up)

Team Plans allow you to scale your team easily by adding members to your workspace at any time. The new seats are activated immediately. To account for this change, you will be charged a prorated amount upfront.

The payment calculation for adding new seats depends on whether the change moves you into a higher pricing tier (slab).

1. Simple Scaling (Staying within the Same Pricing Slab)

If adding the new member(s) does not move you into a higher pricing slab (e.g., you remain in the 6–10 members slab):

Charge Due: You will be charged the prorated fee for the new seat(s) for the remainder of your current subscription period (whether it is the monthly 30-day period or the annual 365-day period).

2. Scaling with a Slab Change (Moving to a Higher Tier)

If adding the new member(s) results in a price increase because you move into a higher pricing slab (e.g., moving from the 6–10 member slab to the 11–19 member slab), your entire current subscription (Monthly or Annual) is re-calculated and reset.

The payment due is calculated using the following adjustment process:

StepCalculation & Description
1. New Subscription Amount (A)Your subscription is immediately re-calculated using the new rate corresponding to your higher slab and your new total member count. This sets a new renewal date (30 or 365 days from the date of the change).
2. Prorated Consumption (B)The value of the service you already consumed in the old slab is calculated based on the number of days passed since your last renewal.
3. Paid Amount Credit (C)The total subscription amount you originally paid for your previous slab is noted as your credit.
4. Adjustment/Credit Due (D)(C – B) Subtract the consumed amount (B) from the total amount you already paid (C). This result (D) is your remaining credit from the old slab.
5. Final Amount to Pay(A – D) The final amount you owe is the New Subscription Amount (A) minus the Remaining Credit (D).

You will only pay the difference between the cost of the new subscription at the higher slab and the unused credit from your previous payment period.
